9 Days: Cusco, Sacred Valley, Machupicchu, Titicaca & Bolivia

DAY 1  CHINCHERO MORAY, AND THE SALT MINES AT MARAS.

After breakfast we board a private transportation and drive 45 minutes to Chinchero, the Capital of the potatoes and feel and meditate in the Temple of Mother Eart, on the way to the sacred valley we will stop and visit the circular terraces of Moray – the Navel of the Earth. At this sacred site you will feel the connection with the three worlds represented by the Condor, Puma and Snake Ceremony. See how our ancestors built an amphitheater-like structure to study different microclimates. We will also visit an amazing salt flats operation en route to Ollantaytambo, and hike down into the valley for a while and meet up with the bus further down the road. DAY 2: NATIVE COMMUNITY AND OLLANTAYTAMBO SITE

After good breakfast we will work on the concept of volunteering in a local community. We will share ourselves with local Peruvians, as we learn from them. A day that will touch your heart and mind, after a good lunch drive and walk to Ollantaytambo archeological site. http://www.ollantaytambo.org/en/ You will spend about 2 hrs at this site. There are several temples of pink granite and the famous Princess’ Bath. Spend the afternoon visiting the local market and take a walk through the town, which has been continuously inhabited and is mostly unchanged since Inca times. DAY 3: SACRED VALLEY – OLLANTAYTAMBO – MACHU PICCHU

Take the mid-morning Vista Dome train from Ollantaytambo along the trek to Machu Picchu. On the journey, you enjoy some of the highlights of our Peru ecotour along the Urubamba River and through a magnificent cloud forest to reach Aguas Calientes for a small lunch; they feed you with snacks on the Train where a bus will take you the rest of the way to Machu Picchu (7,875 feet). DAY 4: MACHU PICCHU – OLLANTAYTAMBO – CUSCO.

Today, take the opportunity to see an unmatched sunrise at Machu Picchu before the crowds arrive and spend the rest of the day among the numerous Sacred site and climb to the sacred peak of Huayna Picchu or a picturesque walk to the Temple of the Moon/ or MachuPicchu Mountain. Return midday to the town of MachuPicchu for lunch and your early afternoon train back to Ollantaytambo. Meet your private van at the train station to travel to the collective Chinchero textile market, featuring an explanation of the traditional weaving methods of the Sacred Valley and some of the best textiles available in Peru. DAY 5: CUSCO – PUNO.

Breakfast at the hotel starting at 6:00 a.m. Pickup at the hotel in Cusco at approximately 7:30 a.m. Stop at the site of Racchi, also known as the Temple of Wiracocha, http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Raqchi the spiritual God of the Incas. Magical ruins built with adobes and stone at the same time. Lunch buffet and after stop at various attractions on the way to the city of Puno – Lake Titicaca to take amazing photos, snowcapped mountains and other beautiful scenery. Capital folkloric of Peru. DAY 6: LAKE TITICACA.

There are 70 islands where the locals still wear the beautiful costumes of their ancestors’ heritage. You will ride on a reed boat like the ancient people used, seeing a diversity of colorful birds. Your boat will take you to the amazing Island Takile. This is a great location to see the Bolivian side of the lake and their part of the Andean snowcapped mountains. Surface elevation of the lake is 12,507 ft. Climb to an ancient temple (2 miles round trip, 650 ft elevation change); have a lunch of local trout on the island of Takile, which is famous for its food and weavings. DAY 7: LAKE TITICACA – COPACABANA

After breakfast, pickup is at 8:00 a.m. at the hotel for private transportation to experience this amazing ancient door way Amaramamuro, the local people call this place Willca Uta, which means the place where native people got initiated,, the most ancient temple around Lake Titicaca, were we will perform an Ancient Ceremony and from here lunch. Afternoon transfer to Bolivian side Call Copacabana Town to our Hotel not including the Border checking (immigration), free evening to explore around the Beautiful town. Dinner on your own. DAY 8: BOAT RIDE TO THE SUN AND MOON ISLAND

After breakfast On Copacabana Hotel we will take our boat to these amazing Island, The island of the sun is the highest island in the world, is why our ancestors knew about it and build sacred sites with lots of energy on them, because also is consider the heart of Lake Titicaca. There we will find the Inca Sacred Sites of “Iñacuyo” with statues honoring the sun and moon, according to tradition, were molded respectively gold and silver. The legend also says that the God Viracocha commanded the moon to get up each day from the sky of this island. One of the most Sacred part is undoubtedly the Sun Temple Chinkana Pillcocaina, a labyrinthine complex of Inca ruins dedicated to the great god of the Sun. this is a great location to see the Andean snow cups, Climb to an ancient temple, Have a lunch of local trout on the island of the Sun, which is famous for its food and weavings. DAY 9: SUN ISLAND – COPACABANA TO LA PAZ – BOLIVIA
